maps: charting the course
Cartography is imprinted on my genes. Being from a family of cartophiles, maps were a part of travel plans, trips taken and the subsequent slideshows. I can't remember ever learning how to read one. I just always knew that maps were the way to draw a trip.
As a designer for TriMet,
I created literally millions of maps used by transit riders to navigate the city of Portland. Pencils, pen and markers were replaced by computers, GIS, and now Google Earth.
Technology has certainly changed.
But the message remains consistent, maps reveal what we feel is most important around us. Sirius Media aims to provide direction to our communities by creating clear maps. Call us if you need direction.
